🤔 My Thoughts
We’re tracking insiders closely and saw a couple interesting trades by members of Congress, including:
Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV): On April 29, 2025, Capito purchased $1,000-$15,000 in Alphabet Inc. ($GOOGL) stock, disclosed nine days later. She also sold $1,000-$15,000 in Target ($TGT) and Nike ($NKE) on April 11 and 10, respectively, disclosed within 27-28 days. As Environment and Public Works Committee Chair, her trades prompt scrutiny….
Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA): In 2025, Greene traded Palantir Technologies stock, coinciding with its government contract wins. Her trades reportedly yielded a 57% gain, raising concerns about insider knowledge given her committee roles and access to federal contract information. Palantir is a long-term holding in our buy-and-hold Wealthpin Pro portfolio, so at least we’re on the right side of this one.
Representative Terri Sewell (D-AL): On April 10, 2025, Sewell purchased $1,001-$15,000 each in Apple ($AAPL) and Nvidia ($NVDA) stock, her first stock purchases since taking office. Just dipping her toes into the water?
But the really interesting insider play we’re watching is a group of Wall Street executives who have recently put over $25 million into their own stock.
