Trump’s Clarity Act Just Woke Crypto

🚨 Profit Panel is live at 9:30 a.m. ET🚨
Weekend news is in, and I’m breaking down the exact flows hitting my scanners today! Geof is joining me to dissect the Gold and Silver breakout, alongside a massive Treasury decision dropping today [tap to join us for Profit Panel]
Crypto woke up recently — and it woke up loud.
Trump is pushing for the CLARITY Act, and it’s sending crypto soaring. That catalyst doesn’t just move Bitcoin — it pulls the entire crypto-adjacent ecosystem with it.
For day traders, a handful of names just turned hot in a hurry.
The broader market is more complicated. Bonds and yields aren’t signaling much confidence that the Federal Reserve’s liquidity intervention changed the setup.
I thought that injection could be bullish, but the reaction wasn’t convincing enough to justify a Knight Riders trade last night.
Elsewhere, biotech is pulling back after its huge run, with Moderna (MRNA) selling off, while oil is moving higher.
That divergence matters: This isn’t a simple risk-on rally lifting everything. Crypto has its own catalyst, so I want to focus on the stocks showing real volume and momentum.
The Crypto Plays Pumping Right Now
First up: Bitdeer Technologies Group (BTDR) came in with big volume, and it’s just going. This thing is pumping continuously.
I’d probably wait until around 10 a.m. ET before considering an entry, giving the opening volatility time to settle. You could get left behind, but you’re also less likely to get chopped up in the first 15 to 30 minutes.
Strategy (MSTR) had a lot of call flow coming in yesterday, and now it’s up big and breaking through resistance. That options activity ahead of the move makes the follow-through worth watching.
Then there’s CleanSpark (CLSK) — a friend of the show and a neo-cloud play. Neo-clouds are up big too, probably tethered to the crypto activity.
CLSK isn’t a pure crypto bet, but it can trade like one when the sector heats up.
Coinbase Global (COIN) and Applied Digital (APLD) are also on my screen. Focus on names with actual liquidity, volume and sustained momentum rather than stocks merely hoping to catch the sector’s bounce.
Keep It Simple, Keep It Fast
The setup is straightforward: A headline-driven catalyst, a fast-moving sector and several liquid names.
Let the opening swings shake out, look for support to hold and avoid chasing an extended candle. If momentum survives the first hour, there may be room to ride it — but don’t overstay your welcome.
I would not hold a crypto position overnight. Yes, we previously held the Ethereum (ETHA), but that was a different setup. This move is sharp, news-driven and capable of reversing just as quickly as it rallied.
Size it like a day trade, define your exit before entering and respect the close.
In this environment, protecting capital matters more than squeezing out the final part of a move.
To better trading,
Alex Reid
